Description

An ascent to the high altitudes and iconic views of Mount Etna with the first light of day or with the last sun of the afternoon.

This hiking solution is designed to reach and explore the highest parts of the volcano, when the volcanic conditions or temporary restrictions do not allow climbs and visits to the summit craters, or when you want to explore the moonscape at high altitude.

The itinerary follows the high altitude trails and landscapes to enjoy the scenery with the silent atmosphere and stunning colours created by the sun when it’s low on the horizon, using headlamps to hike up in before sunrise or hike down at night after sunset.
